I found this to be a great gate that comes mostly pre-assembled already. Instructions are easy to follow and it is easy to install (granted this is my second baby gate so I have had some practice already). It comes with two extenders to help you fit it in a doorway/entryway up to 40" wide thought the manufacturer says 40.5". I initially tried to install it in an entryway that was 41" wide but it was just shy. So I had to move it somewhere else. Love the wooden gate. So much more attractive than the all metal ones. And it matches my hardwood floors.

Other reviewers say this gate is a little on the expensive side for what you get and how big it is. It is almost twice as much as an all metal gate. It's comparable to other wooden gates...maybe a little more. My other gate is the Summer Infant Decorative Wood & Metal 5 Foot Pressure Mounted Gate, Brown/Black. It is also a metal and wood gate and also very attractive. It's also wider and fits up to a 5 foot wide opening. It costs a little less than this one so I guess you get a bit more gate for your money.

 

However, I would pay a bit more for ease of use and the main difference between the two is this Munchkin gate has autoclose. It's a nice feature because I forget to close my other gate and sometimes I get lazy because it's not easy to close. Would I pay a little more for the autoclose feature? Hmmmm...probably. You definitely have to pick and choose what features you want and measure they size of your doorway/entryway before ordering. But over all I'd say that this is a really nice gate and I would recommend.
